Test Your Brain !
The documentary Test Your Brain is really
awesome. I found that we have to focus not only at one thing, but at the whole
things. It is not what you look at, it
is what you see.
The
first eureka moment that I have experienced is the scene in game one where that
guy want to change $1 to $100. When he shows the magic, I am just paying
attention at the money. I did not notice
that his hat, handkerchief and also the background has changed. And when he
shows back how he does it, I said “wow, amazing!".
The
second eureka moment is the scene in game four. When Apollo Robbins steals the
things from that guy, at first I just found that he just steal the scarf
because I can see it clearly. But then, after he plays back the video I was so
shock where there are four things that he steals which are scarf, wallet, mobile
phone and also handkerchief.
Next
is the scene in game seven. When he put the things into the cup and then he
change it to drink. I am just focusing at the cup and I did not realize that
there are three person in animal mascots walked behind him.
Another
scene is in game nine. The host asks the audience to count how many steps that
the Jabawaki step into the spotlight. And I also count it. When he asking “how
many people see the penguin going through?” I said penguin? I did not see it. I
did not expect that the penguin will walked behind the Jabawaki dancer. And when I take another look, then I realize
that I am not really paying attention.
Sherlock Holmes ~ A Study in Pink
Sherlock Holmes is a wonderful
person. After watching the movie Sherlock Holmes a Study in Pink, I think he is
a right brain hemisphere. He has the ability to solve problems by putting
himself in a person situation or problem. He also can describe a person just by
looking at that people.
For example, when he tries to solve
the case of the lady in pink dress, he assumes that the lady is a serial
adulterer and not happy with her marriage for almost ten years just by looking
at her ring. He also assumes that the lady has a suitcase just by looking at
her hand. He has to find the suitcase in order to find the killer. After he got
the suitcase, he asks Watson to send a message to a number. He said that the
number is belongs to that lady, and if the murderer has the phone, he will be
panic if he got the message.
So it is true that Sherlock is a
right brain hemisphere which he is an emphatic person where he can read and
able to understand people.
Your eureka moments are same as me and i agree with you that Sherlock is an emphatic person based on how he solves the crime.
