SUPER SIZE ME

Based on the facts presented in this documentary are you convinced that fast food is the main cause of obesity in United States and around the world?

Nowadays people usually eat at fast food restaurants such as Mac Donald’s, KFC, Burger King and Wendy’s. They just take an easy way to get a food instead of cooking at home. They just simply go to the fast food restaurants with their family or their buddies where the fast food restaurants are everywhere with a huge number of them. Each day one of four American visited the fast food restaurants and this is the reason why America has obesity problems among their society including the children.

In the film,  a person doing the experiments on himself by eating only Mac Donald’s food within 30 days without eating other food. He ate at the Mac Donald’s three times per day where he must eat every menu that Mac Donald’s has served. At the first before he do the experiments he has meet three doctors which is internal medicine, gastroenterologist & herpetologist and also cardiologist. He also has seen nutritionist& dietician and exercise physiologist.

The rules that he must follow are can only super size when asked, can only eat food from Mac Donald’s, water include, has to eat everything on the menu at least once, and must eat three meals per day. Thus, he has no other choice where he has to follow the rules.

After watching the documentary, it is clearly that fast food is not the main cause of obesity in United States and around the world.  As we can see, other than fast food there is variety of food that people can eat which are healthy and good foods. They can make a better choice for themselves. So if they found that fast food is the main cause of obesity, then do not go and eat it. As a human they have the right to choose what is good and what is bad for them. The one who we have to put the blame on is ourselves.

ANCIENT ALIENS: THE EVIDENCE

State several evidence which support the ancient astronaut theory. Discuss whether you agree or disagree to the evidence that you have identified.
Millions of people around the world believe that in the past we have visited with being which is not in this world where they believe it is an alien. Scientist have make research in order to prove it. Most of the scientists have found several evidences that can prove that alien actually existed in the past.

The first evidence is in Egypt which located in Kyra. There is a building name Sakkara, the city of dead. It was there in 1891. The French archeologist on earth ancient found that the Sakkara bird is different with other birds where the wings and also the tail are totally different. It is like a component that highly developed.

The other evidence is at a jungle in Colombia where many of treasures hunter believe the legendary of gold live here. Among the objects that have found 100 of small gold. Many of those looks like insect and fish, however out of those 100 they also found a weird shape but it is looks like a fighter jet which it is triangle shape and stabilize and nothing similar in nature because there is no such insect that has wing in the bottom. It is look like a plane. The scientists said that both of these examples from the opposite planet and both are flying.

Another example is at India which a fly machine is called Vimana. The scientist found that the fly machine is the description of space ship where Vimana used proposition system based on the combination of electricity and mercury.

Based on the evidence that has given I totally do not agree that alien is exist. Since the scientist do not provide much evidence and the evidence that has shown also do not strong that said alien is exist.

For example like the Sakkara bird. I know that the bird is look different but maybe people in the past have change the illustration physical of the bird since no one can prove the evidence that they found is actually a real bird. But maybe people in the past have found by themselves how a bird can fly. Thus they create something like a bird as we can see like airplane.

WEEK 3- A LEADER'S LEGACY TUN ABDUL RAZAK

A LEADER'S LEGACY TUN ABDUL RAZAK

Discuss whether or not Tun Abdul Razak's son, our current prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib is continuing his father's legacy primarily in affirmative action policy.

Tun Abdul Razak was the second prime minister of Malaysia. He is the father of development. During his administration as a prime minister, he was launching the Malaysian New Economic Policy where this policy is to help poor people and to reducing inequity among people especially Malays who live in rural area. His target is to reduce the poverty among Malays. He was the person who is responsible creating the affirmative action, which is by providing social and economic privileges to majority Malays population. Nevertheless, his son, Datuk Sri Najib Tun Razak which is the current prime minister does not continuing his father’s legacy primarily in affirmative action policy. This is because Datuk Sri Najib was launched a campaign known as 1 Malaysia where this campaign is for Malaysians people. 1 Malaysia is a concept where all Malaysian is equal. Meanings that all people are the same even with different races, religion, colour and also position. All people will get benefit through this campaign. It is clearly that Datuk Sri Najib does not continuing his father’s legacy.

New Economic Policy (NEP) is actually a system that providing social and economic privileges to majority of Malay’s population and it become huge problems among the other ethnics where they claims that NEP is unjust. In Al Jazeera 101 East the talk show about New Economic Policy (NEP), the guest that I choose is Azeem Farouk who is a political scientist.

Discourse Analysis

CONCLUSION
NEP should have to make a new strategy in order to gain confident from people
PREMISE 1
NEP is a good policy that will always be relevant regardless of ethnicity and races
ARGUMENT 1
NEP has two strategies which are reduction of poverty and also restructuring of society
PREMISE 2
The NEP has to be fine tune and implemented to benefit everyone across the board
ARGUMENT 2
There should be some form of policy that could be in support the majority group

Based on the discourse analysis above, I would like to agree with his statement on all his premises. He stated that the NEP should have to make a new strategy in order to gain confident from people. This is because the other ethnics and races tend to said that NEP is actually unfair for them where it is just helps Malays and not the Malaysian’s people. They also need the same privileges like Malays. Not all the people in their society are the rich people. There are also poor people that might need the help. Therefore the government and political party should consider regarding this matter where they should provide help and support for the other races in order not to be unjust and to live in peacefully without any conflict or whatsoever.
